Furniture 'for everyone'

The place to learn about the latest innovations? An international trade fair. For the furniture industry, Interzum is one of the regular appointments on the calendar. Austrian manufacturer Blum also went to Cologne (D) with the latest innovations under its arm. A booth with three living worlds was set up to show the wide product range to an interested audience.

Blum knows that more than ever, different lifestyles, budgets and available surface areas determine the choice when it comes to kitchen and living room furniture. "That's why we created these three living worlds and attached the motto 'For Everyone' to them," Blum reasons about the construction of the booth. "The central starting point is always optimal use of space. In a small apartment, for example, the plinth solution Space Step comes in very handy. On the one hand, this is a step to easily store things in the wall units, but on the other hand it also contains additional storage space behind the baseboard. The Revego folding sliding door system instantly hides the chaos that small children sometimes cause. In short, inspiring ideas and practical applications abound."

Electricity in furniture

If you bring electricity into a piece of furniture, you significantly increase its capabilities. Blum supports this message with the presentation of Amperos, a solution that still allows electricity to be easily brought into furniture without electrical knowledge. "As we know from Blum, Amperos is also an easy and above all safe solution," said Karen Coomans of Van Hoecke, distributor of Blum's solutions in the Benelux. "Handling, assembly and commissioning are simply designed. Everything is installed safely and without visible cables in the drawers. Charging devices while they are stored, adding mood or work lighting ... it's possible thanks to Amperos."

With Amperos, by the way, Blum won the "Best of the Best" award at Interzum 2023.

Smaller swing door systems

The proven Aventos folding door system gains a smaller variant with Aventos top. "And actually, we already know the principle from with Aventos HK top," Coomans points out. "Now it's the turn of the other Aventos systems as well. Thanks to the small installation size and the contemporary design of the cover cap, the hardware elements integrate perfectly into any corpus. Aventos gives the user complete freedom of movement, optimal access and an ergonomic user experience. The different types therefore offer users a nice range of options for folding, unfolding, swinging or lifting the front. The new top family can additionally be equipped with the electric opening support Servo-drive which also allows the cabinet to be opened with a light tap against the front. Closing is then just as easy thanks to the integrated switch."
