In May this year, she started as commercial director at Montapanel. We're talking to the visibly enthusiastic Renate Brem, who experienced right from the start of her duties that the company is absolutely ready for the next step toward further growth. So the challenge is clear. How will she manage that? "Actually, it's not very complicated. You just have to always do what you promise. In addition, I am convinced that output also produces input."
So Renate, who has already gained extensive commercial experience in various places in her "previous" working life, is going for intensive interaction with the market. "However, I recognize that we in the industry are not in the most 'easy times' right now. After all, you hear quite a few different messages in the market. I said it before: output is input. Because, if you sit around waiting for customers, you'll have a tough time in any economic cycle. That's why I keep my finger on the pulse: we as Montapanel just have to stay visible. We keep communicating. The showroom must always be in order. You shouldn't leave anything to chance and in the end it's also just a matter of thinking in terms of possibilities and opportunities."
That these possibilities and opportunities exist is obvious. After all, last year the new beautiful production site (9,000m²) in Drachten was inaugurated. "That is where we can continue to grow in the next 5 years. I assume that during that period we will also have at least tripled our production capacity. Now, after the construction period, I will pull the cart together with Jos van Steijn, who is starting in his position as general manager of Montapanel. Together, we will stand for coming up with innovations to ultimately stand out even more in the market. For me, moreover, innovation is not a catch-all term. It is the essence. Innovation stands for further growth. In the future, in addition to product development, we will also continue to focus on organic growth and digitalization."
But what is good will also be preserved. "We can always supply the latest colors and we have the flexibility to respond well to the latest trends. All this at competitive prices and fast delivery times throughout the Netherlands. Moreover, knowledge, craftsmanship and experience within our production remain a powerful tool. I am therefore convinced that we can grow our brand awareness and thus our positioning within the Netherlands and Germany. What promise am I making now? Well... within a year we will have our next production line up and running."-
