Häfele Lighting first to combine furniture and room lighting in one system

Lighting has long been an essential part of interior design. Whereas the focus used to be primarily on general room lighting, today lighting is also seamlessly interwoven with furniture and contributes to the overall mood experience. Häfele has closely followed and further perfected this development.

With Häfele Lighting, Häfele is the first - and for now the only - provider to combine furniture and room lighting within one smart and integrated network: one room, one system, one control.

Häfele Lighting

Under the new umbrella name Häfele Lighting, existing lines such as Loox (plug & play furniture lighting), Connect Mesh (wireless control via Bluetooth) and Nimbus (designer luminaires) have been brought together and complemented by new products. The systems connect seamlessly and make it possible for interior designers, lighting specialists and designers to illuminate both furniture and entire rooms from one technology, one control and one design philosophy. Häfele is thus responding to the growing demand for smart, integrated lighting solutions within interiors.

One total solution for light in and around furniture

Furniture lighting and room lighting are coordinated visually and technically within Häfele Lighting. Everything can be controlled via a single app, remote control or switch. The system is plug & play and therefore easy to install, without the help of an electrician.

For interior professionals, this means more design freedom, less coordination with external parties and a wider range of products for the end user - from work light above the kitchen sink to subtle atmosphere in the work, bath, bedroom or living room.

The new R ONE recessed spotlight

New luminaires have also been developed under Häfele Lighting. One of these is the R ONE recessed spotlight, equipped with a Bartenbach reflector that prevents glare and directs light downward at a fixed angle. The spotlight is available in three beam angles (50°, 70° and 90°), and also in an asymmetrical variant that directs light toward the wall - ideal for highlighting an object or creating a lighting effect. The spotlight comes in a monochrome variant (2700K, 3000K or 4000K) or a multi-white variant, where the light color can be adjusted via the app. The spotlights are IP20 and IP44 rated, and available in white and black.

OneCable: flexible rail system for wall and ceiling

Also new is the OneCable rail system. This consists of an aluminum profile with integrated flat power cable, suitable for mounting on wall, ceiling or a combination thereof. The rail is available in black and white and is fully compatible with Häfele's existing furniture lighting.

You can place the system on its own in the room or lead it directly from a piece of furniture to the wall and/or ceiling. This creates a unique connection between the interior and the lighting, without fixed connection points restricting placement. Ideal if the layout of a room changes frequently.

Three fixtures are available: a square spotlight with four LEDs, an oblong version with nine LEDs and a wallwasher - a fixture that spreads a wide beam of light over a wall, adding atmosphere and depth to a room. Later this year, the range will be expanded to include a modern pendant lamp. OneCable makes it possible to flexibly adapt lighting to the interior, even if the layout or function of a room changes.
