How would you have liked it? With a fine texture? Matte? Soft pistachio green or bright magenta? No matter what wishes furniture, kitchen and door manufacturers (and their customers) have: the Pigmolux range of the Austrian paint and lacquer manufacturer ADLER fulfills almost all of them. And that too at lightning speed - because thanks to decentralized sampling, manufacturers now receive their perfectly tailored products even faster and more flexibly.
'Pigmo' stands for color, 'lux' for the power of light. Together, these two terms form the name of ADLER's most successful and popular range of industrial paints. Numerous European furniture manufacturers, kitchen manufacturers and companies in the door industry rely on these versatile UV paint products, available in a wide range of colors, for high-quality and resistant surfaces.
"Processors can choose from two variants: Pigmolux DC and Pigmolux HQ," explains Leon Cremers, director of ADLER Benelux in Heeze, Brabant. Pigmolux DC - where DC stands for Dualcure, double curing - cures by two different mechanisms: on the one hand by irradiation with UV light, on the other hand also by a classic combination with a hardener. This allows even the parts of, for example, a piece of furniture that are insufficiently exposed by the UV lamps to harden completely. As a result, even three-dimensional and less easily accessible parts can be coated with Pigmolux DC without UV irradiation. "However, Pigmolux DC can also be processed 1K, where the paint cures only by uv-radiation. This is necessary, for example, when you want to coat white doors or panels efficiently," Cremers emphasizes. Both processing methods guarantee high mechanical and chemical resistance, excellent light resistance and good filling power of the coated surfaces.

However, those who value even better stackability and maximum resistance choose Pigmolux HQ. This high quality variant is the crème de la crème among UV coatings. With it, for example, integrated recessed aluminum handles can be painted along without any problem, and on white surfaces even coffee and red wine stains do not stand a chance. Many manufacturers switch to Pigmolux HQ after using Pigmolux DC for a few years.
What both variants have in common, however, is their versatility: "Whatever the customer's requirements are, we can almost always meet them with this pigment coating. We are incredibly flexible in terms of gloss level, viscosity, structure and, of course, color. We can now also perform this customization directly at our facility in Heeze," says Cremers. Whether it's finishing with an anti-fingerprint coating, a very special surface finish or a unique color: within 48 hours, every customer receives their customized product.
