How do you convince a consumer who wants a new kitchen or bathroom to buy from you instead of your competitor? The answer is simple: make the customer experience a unique one. Integrating virtual reality can give your store a decisive competitive edge.
The consumer is a demanding beast. A personalized experience that blows our socks off is what we are looking for. At the same time, the vendor wants to stand out from the competition. France's JHH Applications comes to the rescue with Instant VR, an all-in-one tool that aims to meet the expectations of all parties. "Instant VR is the essential ally," emphasize Jonathan Bernardie, developer of Instant VR and also director of JHH Applications, and Catharina Wilmink, hired to organize its entry into the Dutch market.

What is Instant VR? Wilmink: "I like to start by saying what it is not. Instant VR is not a drawing program to design an entire project in. A designer knows his drawing program through and through and just keeps working with it. So nothing changes about that. Instant VR is a tool that converts the plan into virtual reality. Within a minute, the consumer steps into the virtual version of his future kitchen or bathroom while the designer watches on the screen. Not quite convinced? The tool allows in real time to adjust lighting, change materials (fronts, countertops, etc.) and integrate decorative elements. What is needed for this in the store? A free floor space of 1m50 by 1m50 will do!"

"Instant VR consists of a computer, a professional virtual reality headset, sensors, controllers and the special software," Wilmink explains. "We supply and install the equipment and software while our
expert team provides training for all users. In addition, we place high emphasis on personal follow-up, after-sales and telephone support. Additional training is free and updates to the program happen automatically. In France, where more than 200 stores have been working with Intant VR for about six years now, the results and feedback have been very positive. Sales of the project are brisk and often with a higher selling price than initially budgeted. And the fact that some 70% of consumers will recommend a store to friends because they work with Instant VR is perhaps an even stronger signal."
Entry into the Dutch market is in full swing. Bernardie and Wilmink are crisscrossing the country with no-obligation product demos to come and present Instant VR in person. "Anyone interested in discovering our virtual reality is certainly welcome to contact me," Wilmink invites.
