ATAG Benelux is the first in the Netherlands to announce a refurbishment service for kitchen appliances. This pioneering service gives cooktops, ovens and refrigerators a second life, which is not only good for the environment but also a cost-saving solution for housing projects.
After a successful pilot with Achmea Real Estate, in which kitchens in ten homes were renovated, ATAG decided to market this service more widely. During this pilot, ATAG removed kitchen appliances, inspected them, thoroughly cleaned them and repaired them if necessary. The appliances were then repackaged and made available to customers in project construction and thrift stores.

For now, ATAG is offering this service free of charge, regardless of the brand of kitchen appliances in the home. During the pilot with Achmea Real Estate, ATAG worked closely with the DKG Group, known for kitchen brands Keller and Bruynzeel, which ensured that kitchen cabinets could be reused.
ATAG Benelux is now expanding this refurbishment service to managers and developers of other housing projects. Several follow-up projects are already planned. For example, ATAG will start a refurbishment project with ASR for 170 apartments in Eindhoven and Utrecht. ALTERA has also chosen this innovative approach for their renovation project of 180 homes.
With this step, ATAG Benelux underlines its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the Dutch housing sector.
