Van Hoecke is cleverly capitalizing on this desire with its online configurator for custom drawers. An updated version with real-time 3D visualization is now online.
The goal of the online configurator in clear: order faster, keep less stock and still maintain maximum flexibility. That is why the developers at Van Hoecke looked at the craftsman's daily work rhythm to analyze where improvements could be made. Traditionally, preparation and calculation take a lot of time. By streamlining the entire configuration process, Van Hoecke gives kitchen professionals the opportunity to focus again on what really counts, namely finishing and customization. Karen Coomans of Van Hoecke aptly sums it up, “Clients want to work efficiently without sacrificing quality or detail.”
Perhaps the most striking feature in the entire configurator is the 3D visualization. This allows users to see immediately what the drawer looks like and to order faster and with more certainty. Coomans: “The visual feedback that customers receive while configuring immediately increases confidence in the chosen configuration. This in turn speeds up the decision-making process and reduces the chance of misunderstandings and errors. Ordering is completely tailored to the project the user is currently working on. This can be done from one piece.”
Van Hoecke is continuing to build the configurator. In the near future, Van Hoecke will also add AMPEROS. AMPEROS is a compact, integrated power supply for furniture that allows power to be neatly and efficiently available in and around the furniture. No more untidy tangle of cables for various mobile devices, and it also ensures that furniture applications with electrical components have sufficient power. “By configuring and ordering AMPEROS right away, we can deliver the system pre-assembled and integrated with the drawer,” Coomans explains. “This again saves time during installation and reduces the need for additional assembly or tuning afterwards.”
The contribution of digital tools to daily work is becoming increasingly concrete and clear.
