ATAG Introduces New 8 Series Induction Cooktops: Space and Control for Home Cooks

Automatic venting and temperature-controlled cooking programs that preserve the cabinet space under the cooktop

When cooking, you want to focus on flavors, temperatures, and timing—not on operating your appliances. That’s why the ATAG 8 Series induction cooktops with integrated range hoods are designed around tranquility, space, and control. Automatic ventilation responds to your cooking habits, a central Dynamic Slider keeps the cooktop clear for pans, and temperature-controlled programs assist with a wide range of cooking methods. The compact QuickInstall™ recirculation system also allows for flexible installation of the series without sacrificing valuable cabinet space.

Exhaust system that moves automatically

With a cooktop that has an integrated range hood, cooking vapors are removed directly at the source. The SynchroControl feature of the ATAG 8 Series automatically adjusts the range hood’s suction power based on the use of the cooking zones. As a result, home cooks don’t have to operate the range hood separately and can focus entirely on cooking.

Ample cooking space thanks to central controls

The controls on a cooktop help determine how much space is left for pans. In the 8 Series, power settings, timers, and cooking programs are all integrated into a single central Dynamic Slider. Once set, the timers for each cooking zone remain visible, allowing the user to easily keep track of multiple dishes being prepared at the same time.

The well-thought-out layout offers four cooking zones and plenty of space to place pans of various sizes. Two models also feature two Bridge zones. Once a compatible grill or Teppanyaki plate is installed, two cooking zones can be combined into a single large cooking surface. This provides extra flexibility for larger cookware or dishes that need to be cooked evenly across a larger area.

Cooking settings move along with the pan

If you move a pan to a different zone while cooking, you don’t have to reset the settings. The pan-move function allows you to transfer the corresponding settings to the new cooking zone. This keeps power and cooking under control, even when the layout on the cooktop changes during cooking.

Automatic programs for controlled cooking

In addition to the traditional power settings, the ATAG 8 Series offers temperature-controlled automatic programs for keeping food warm, reheating, baking, and grilling. These programs adjust the temperature to suit the selected cooking method, so the user doesn’t have to manually adjust it as often while cooking.

This makes delicate and time-consuming cooking processes more predictable. Think of melting chocolate at 45 °C or gently simmering vegetables at 94 °C. When used with a suitable grill plate, the cooktop also supports controlled grilling. The automatic programs help you prepare various dishes at the right temperature.

Compact and flexible to install

Simplicity is also key during installation. The compact recirculation system is based on the ATAG QuickInstall™ philosophy. The necessary components, including the telescopic connector, the recirculation filter, and the mounting hardware, are included. The system can be installed with exhaust venting through the back wall. This keeps the cabinet space under the cooktop available. The grease filters are easy to remove and dishwasher-safe.

The cooktops can be configured for a limited connection capacity of one or two phases. The smart power management system uses the available power efficiently and indicates via the controls when a selected combination is not possible.

Timeless design for various kitchen styles

The 8 Series consists of three models with four cooking zones, making it suitable for any kitchen and any budget. There is a black glass model without Bridge zones, and there are two models with two Bridge zones for larger cookware. These models are available in black or matte black glass. The elegant matte black model has a understated look, while the controls remain clear and easy to read.

The cooktops can be installed as surface-mounted units or flush with the countertop. To further complement the kitchen design, optional side profiles are available in Graphite, stainless steel, and Black Steel. This allows the cooktop to blend seamlessly with a wide variety of materials, colors, and interior styles. The design of the ATAG induction cooktops has been honored with an iF Design Award.

With automatic ventilation, ample cooking space, and intuitive central controls, the ATAG 8 Series brings peace and quiet to the kitchen. That way, all your attention stays where it belongs: on the dish.
