Not only kitchens but also worktops and kitchen backsplashes deserve unprecedented precision when it comes to measuring. Down to the last millimeter. "In the meantime, we are on the road every day with a team of eight specialists, taking measurements at private homes throughout the country using our advanced 3D equipment," says Dirk. "I think more and more kitchen specialty stores know us by now. We have also already established good collaborations."

Generally, you see expensive countertops being measured by the supplier himself after the kitchen is installed. "We can take that worry (and risk!) out of your hands," says Dirk. "With our measurement data, which we distill from our highly sophisticated 3D equipment, we then create the drawings for production. Now it is often the case that after measuring, the measurements have to be processed in the drawing programs before the sheets can be produced. However, we have now developed a new service: after measuring we pass on the production dimensions. The drawing is then ready for production faster. Naturally, we include everything: the soap dish, the location of the Quooker, the sink... everything in detail and down to the
millimeter accurate."

Dirk explains that Pos Service Group developed that 3D laser measurement for kitchen planners in-house. "So with this technology, we make sure that we literally send the most accurate measurement to any kitchen planner or countertop manufacturer. The latter can then easily upload the data into their own software. Measuring slanted walls, the difference in level in corners, a soap dish left or right, can make just the difference whether something is correct or not."

Promise

So to govern is to look ahead, according to Dirk. "We have been active in the Netherlands for more than thirty years but only since five years have we been using this unique 3D laser technology. Especially in the last two years we notice that our awareness has increased. It is starting to sing around well. It could hardly be otherwise, because not only the consumers but also the fitters of the kitchen stores see and experience that they have less to no hassle anymore."

When asked if Dirk and his colleagues can guarantee that surveying is always error-free, Dirk is immediately clear. "Okay, fair is fair. Of course, setting up that laser is basically human work. But, we do guarantee that the measurement results are correct. Should it not have gone right for whatever reason, the costs are ours. At the same time, I dare say here that this has never occurred."
