With AEG, the dishwasher is quieter, more energy-efficient, and smarter

Anyone who wants to serve tomorrow’s consumers must first understand what matters to them today. At AEG, this philosophy has been a key foundation for product development for years. The recent study *The Truth About Dishwashing 2025*, conducted among 1,000 Dutch dishwasher owners, is a good example of this. The findings not only confirm existing trends but also provide direction for the further development of new generations of dishwashers, including the premium 9000 series.

The survey shows that consumers are placing increasingly high demands on their dishwashers. Cleaning performance is the most important purchasing factor for 94 percent of respondents, while 88 percent place a high value on speed. At the same time, a significant proportion of users experience daily frustrations. For example, 41 percent report having to rewash pots and pans regularly, and more than a third say they sometimes end up washing items by hand because they need them right away. In addition, 51 percent cite limited flexibility with large items as a major issue, and 41 percent experience noise pollution during a cycle.

While energy consumption was the main focus for many years, consumers today are looking specifically at the big picture.

Research as a Driver of Innovation

According to AEG, the results show that consumers expect not only clean dishes, but also greater convenience, flexibility, and sustainability. The brand explicitly uses such studies to test and further develop innovations. In doing so, AEG is aligning itself with a broader trend in the market where user experience plays an increasingly important role in product development.

These insights are clearly reflected in the latest generation of dishwashers. An improved water management system reduces water consumption to just 8.4 liters per cycle, while maintaining cleaning performance. In addition, the new SuperSilent technology ensures a noise level starting at just 35 dB(A), making these models among the quietest and most energy-efficient dishwashers AEG has ever developed.

Premium technology made accessible

These innovations are finding their way into the new generation of models, but are perhaps most evident in the 9000 Series. This premium line combines advanced cleaning technology with maximum flexibility and ease of use. For example, SatelliteClean® Pro effectively removes stubborn food residue without using extra water, and ZoneClean allows you to apply different cleaning intensities within a single program. AEG has also translated user feedback into concrete solutions when it comes to ease of loading. The redesigned EasyFlex baskets offer more freedom when placing large dishes, tall glasses, and tableware that’s difficult to position. XXL Max models add extra interior space without requiring more cabinet space.

Listening to the user

For retailers, the survey results underscore above all how important ease of use and comfort have become in the purchasing process. While energy consumption was the main focus for many years, consumers today are explicitly looking at the big picture. Quiet operation, flexibility, speed, and sustainability must go hand in hand.

“With this launch, AEG is introducing the quietest and most efficient dishwashers ever. Our top models in the new line work their magic by combining energy efficiency, minimal water consumption, and quiet operation, resulting in perfectly clean dishes. Consumers are choosing a dishwasher they can rely on for years to come,” said Gintautas Vaitekonis, Category Director for Dish in Europe and APMEA. He emphasizes that the energy efficiency of selected 10% models exceeds the EU energy label Class A.

Provide solutions

With its new generation of dishwashers and the continued development of the 9000 series, AEG demonstrates that product innovation doesn’t just happen in a development center, but also at consumers’ kitchen tables and in discussions with retailers. In this way, the brand continues to build solutions that are tailored to everyday life.
