On the 'much-needed partners in crime'
After a successful participation in Batibouw, where the focus was on expanding Samsung's name recognition as a white goods brand, the now increasingly well-known kitchen appliance manufacturer is now presenting several new dishwashers. We also see new models in cooktops. "We are here to stay!" is once again the credo.
The aesthetic aspect of the kitchen has become very important in recent years, especially with the merging of kitchen and living room into one big unit. But the core business in the kitchen is and remains, of course, preparing meals. Cooktops, with or without integrated extractor, and dishwashers are much-needed partners in crime. Whatever you use, and thus get dirty, while cooking must also be washed again.
Samsung Electronics Benelux therefore reports that it is launching new models for both product groups. After all, nobody can live without a dishwasher anymore. That is precisely why the brand is committed to developing dishwashers that present a favorable energy label without sacrificing performance. An innovative inverter motor design and a powerful, also new, WaterJet Clean system join forces for clean dishes. Intensive cleaning from every angle is achieved by the rotating dual spray arms that feature separate jets of water. They simultaneously rotate in opposite directions and spray water in different directions so that the water reaches even the hard-to-reach spots. Stubborn food residues don't stand a chance. So the dishes are really clean in the end!
In addition to the favorable energy label and very low water consumption, especially in the Eco program, the quiet operation also stands out. A special Extra Silence program, while taking a little longer than a normal program, produces 2 dB less noise than the Eco program. "So you have peace in your home and super-clean dishes," says Maxime Parein, Head of Marketing Home Appliances at Samsung Benelux.
With some new 80-centimeter induction hobs, all equipped with useful features and functions, Samsung aims to further make preparing a meal for the whole family a lot easier. For example, the Flex Zone makes it possible to prepare different types of dishes at the same time, or work simultaneously with pots and pans of different sizes. "In the 80-centimeter induction cooktops of the Series 6, the heating elements are placed closer together for even heat distribution," said Maxime.
"We are talking about the Flex Zone Plus here. But also the Dual Ring and the magnetic rotary knob for easy operation and simple cleaning should definitely be named here. The Bluetooth connection between induction cooktop and extractor hood makes it possible to operate both appliances simultaneously."
Cell phone, tablet, televisions.... Everyone certainly knows Samsung from the various multimedia products we use every day. But Samsung is also pushing the development of SmartThings **, the smart home platform that allows you to control the smart devices in the home, including outside the kitchen,
can control.
"Through the app, you can easily access the various solutions created to create a smarter and more enjoyable family-
life," Maxime explains. "Personalized recipes, available in English and French, based on the residents' preferences and the ingredients in the refrigerator, searching and finding optimal recipes for the kitchen appliances as well as automatically sending the right settings and programs to those appliances up to operating ... it's really just a small sample of the possibilities of this platform."
** requires a wireless network, a Samsung account and the Samsung SmartThings app. The Samsung SmartThings App works with Android OS 8.0 (Oreo) or higher, optimized for Samsung smartphones. The SmartThings App also works with iOS 13 or higher for iPhone smartphones. The SmartThings App is available on the App Store and Play Store.
