A new brand of refrigeration equipment is entering the Dutch market. The Norwegian company Norcool, part of the globally active Frigoglass Group—known for its beverage vending machines—has embarked on an ambitious European expansion strategy.
Jasper van Viegen of Qonac Appliances: “Norcool is a well-established name in the Scandinavian countries. They have been developing and manufacturing specialized cooling solutions for over forty years. In the Netherlands and the rest of Europe, however, they are still largely unknown. Norcool now aims to change that with a European expansion strategy. Qonac Appliances was approached to serve as the exclusive distributor for the Netherlands, and we are also active in Germany. The range of refrigerators and freezers is on par with the other well-known players in the Dutch market in terms of quality, often available at a more affordable price. The G3 under-counter wine cooler also fits perfectly into the lineup. After all, the wine cooler shares the same cabinet and niche dimensions as the under-counter refrigerator and freezer. This means the three appliances can be built in perfectly side by side. And don’t forget the huge corner refrigerator!”
Van Viegen cites Norcool’s under-counter drawer solutions as the flagship product that sets the Norwegian brand apart. “The G3 drawer refrigerator is the latest generation of under-counter drawer refrigerators,” Van Viegen explains. “The two spacious drawers and the practical inner drawer provide more than enough space to chill groceries right under the countertop. Users also have a clear overview, especially with the flexible compartments for bottles, beverage cartons, and smaller food items that come with it. It includes all the standard convenient features: a digital thermostat (2–10 °C), LED lighting, a door alarm, and an improved drawer system with adjustable rear legs for stable placement. In addition, the automatic defrost function and low noise level of 37 dB make the 80-cm-wide drawer refrigerator particularly low-maintenance and comfortable for everyday use.” The base model of the drawer refrigerator—and thus also the drawer freezer—is designed to accommodate custom kitchen cabinet fronts, so the drawers blend seamlessly into the kitchen’s design.
Often, the corner of a kitchen—even though nobody wants it to be—is wasted space. After all, what are you supposed to do with it? “Norcool has the solution,” Van Viegen answers this pressing question. “After all, Norcool has developed a massive corner refrigerator with a capacity of no less than 1,195 liters. Qonac Appliances is making a name for itself from its base in Blaricum, beautifully situated in Het Gooi between Amsterdam and Utrecht. “You can take that ”making a name“ quite literally,” Van Viegen says, looking ahead. “We’re literally building a larger facility with more office space, more room to stock inventory, and our own showroom.
