Keller Kitchens' Groundbreaking Design Wins International Recognition

A sustainable kitchen is no longer a vision of the future—it’s an award-winning reality. Keller Keukens, part of DKG, has received the coveted Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2026 for its biobased kitchen line, enduura® elba. Independent experts selected the winner from among thousands of international entries. Enduura® elba, along with other new products, will be on display at the Küchenmeile in September.

Soft Flow showcases how tranquility, warmth, and design come together in the home kitchen.

For years, DKG has been pursuing a distinctly sustainable and innovative course, and with enduura® elba, it has developed a kitchen line based on bio-based raw materials. For example, the cabinet fronts, cabinet bodies, and shelves are made from biobased particleboard with a binder derived from tannin in tree bark. No additional formaldehyde is used. The melamine resin in the top layer, in turn, is largely produced using Dutch biogas. The production of an enduura® elba kitchen results in significantly lower CO2 emissions than conventional kitchens. “Enduura® elba also fits perfectly into the circular kitchen process,” says Bas de Wit, commercial manager for dealers in the Netherlands. “After all, the materials are taken back after use and processed into new raw materials. This makes enduura® elba directly relevant for professional clients such as housing associations and project developers.”

Ready for large-scale implementation

Keller is also continuing to expand its product line. The launch of enduura® elba featured four colors. De Wit: “At that time, we set the goal of further expanding the product line starting in 2027, with the ambition of completely replacing the traditional particleboard-melamine product line with a bio-based alternative by 2030. The great success and the demand for more colors to facilitate this transition led us to decide to move up the timeline. That is why the product line was expanded to ten colors on July 1, 2026, with the goal of reaching a total of twenty colors by January 1, 2027. Sustainable materials and high-quality design go hand in hand, without compromising on aesthetics or freedom of choice.”

On Sunday evening, a new outdoor seating area will serve as the setting for the celebration of the Red Dot Award win.

New glass fronts

We’re also seeing new additions to the glass-fronted cabinet lineup. De Wit: “The expansion to nine frame colors and new glass types gives dealers even more freedom to tailor glass cabinets to different interior styles and customer preferences.” In addition, Keller is introducing round knobs with a wood-look finish, complementing the Ithaca series, which features a realistic wood-look finish. This addition capitalizes on the trend toward softer shapes and natural materials, which are increasingly being used in contemporary kitchen designs.

As in previous years, the new products will be presented in collaboration with tile supplier Jetstone.

The Art of Combining

At the Haferhaus on Gut Böckel, we’ll find Keller Keukens, as is tradition, sharing a booth with its partner Jetstone. “The Art of Combining” is the trade show’s motto. “With our new products, we’re giving dealers concrete tools to stand out in a competitive market,” says Rob van Steen, director of dealer relations at DKG. “We’re demonstrating that combining materials, colors, and functions can result in kitchens that are beautiful, affordable, and future-proof.” On Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Keller, together with Jetstone, Franke, and MHK, will host the annual networking event. Existing relationships will be strengthened, new connections will be made, and the Red Dot Award will be celebrated.
