In this episode of KeukenCast, host Jerry Helmers and sidekick Maarten Zegstroo (who, of course, takes care of 'Maarten's Minute' again) talk to the very enthusiastic Don Wijnschenk of V-Zug. It was a lively conversation about entrepreneurship, sales and marketing in the kitchen industry. Don Wijnschenk is adamant. For example, he sees that anno 2025 the market is quite under pressure. "After all, things are not really going great." For example, he believes that lowering prices is the absolute beginning of your downfall as an entrepreneur in the kitchen industry. Of course, he explains. Because there are too many kitchen businesses that are succumbing to price pressure. But he also believes that most kitchen stores in the Netherlands communicate far too much on functionality and too little on emotion. Of course, the question of how it is possible that V-Zug has gained a solid position in the kitchen appliance market in a relatively short time is answered. Don Wijnschenk also has a clear warning: "The interior designers are emerging and conquering the kitchen market. If the kitchen specialty stores don't wake up, they are going to lose the competition."
