How economical is it really?

When choosing a new fridge-freezer combination, people often look at the energy label, but what does such a label actually say in practice? The Liebherr ICBa 5123 with energy class A consumes only 105 kWh annually, which converts to about € 32, - per year. In comparison, an average family of four consumes about 3600 kWh per year. The consumption of the ICBa 5123 is thus less than 3% of the total energy consumption in the home - and that for an appliance that is on 24/7.
