Invisible cooking as an eye-catcher

Tranquility in the kitchen scene begins with smart integration

For one week in April, the international kitchen industry once again heads to Milan. It's EuroCucina again, a traditional appointment on the agenda of many a kitchen professional. Opera, and by extension Alluance Group, are also meeting there. Opera emphatically focuses on ‘invisible cooking’ and the creative and commercial opportunities that lie ahead.

Opera is playing half a home game, so to speak, during EuroCucina. The brand was born just five years ago from the joint effort of an Italian manufacturer of cooktops (gas, electric, induction and combined) and a German company specializing in exhaust systems. “The result: top quality cooktop extractors and ceiling units,” said Martijn Schuurman, director-owner of the Alluance Group to which Opera belongs. “Opera brings atmosphere and comfort to the kitchen and we want to show that during EuroCucina.”

Four colors

Eye-catchers at Opera's booth will undoubtedly be the induction hobs with integrated extractor in different colors that Opera introduced last year. These hobs are obviously still the functional appliances we know and yet they are changing into more. “They are real visual statements,” Schuurman confirms. “PRIMA Color, because that's the name of the series, blends into the worktop. After all, integrating the cooktop into the worktop as invisibly as possible was a concrete customer request. PRIMA Color, available in the trend colors Sand, Gold, Stone and Storm, does just that. The colors also perfectly match built-in appliances in the same color schemes.”

Distinctive design, essential performance

Who is also sure to be on hand at Opera's booth: the flagship products Nivel and Fonda. Nivel is an induction cooktop with an integrated exhaust system and five cooking zones, one in the center and four on the sides. The four cooking zones on the sides can also be used with a bridge function. Two parallel slots on either side of the cooking zones allow for the removal of steam and cooking vapors. The Nivel also has a removable technical drawer with LED lighting. This is where the grease and odor filters and condensation collection tray are located.

The most striking feature of the Fonda, however, is its very limited built-in height, namely only 8 cm. This means that the first drawer under the hob, for example, can be used as a fully-fledged cutlery drawer. The central removable section of the induction hob allows the extraction direction to be regulated and precisely matched to that part of the cooking zone that is in use.

Present all week

Schuurman: “In addition to the products we are already familiar with, we are of course working hard on some very interesting novelties. Unfortunately we can't say anything about them yet, not even a hint, except that for our customers and also other interested kitchen professionals they are very worthwhile and it pays to stop by. Our Alluance sales team will be on hand throughout the show at the Opera booth, Hall 2 Booth A33. Be sure to stop by for the product presentations, inspiration and fun dialogue.”
