The holidays are coming, and so we're all getting ready to cozy up, enjoy the gourmet together, and blissfully long dinners in good company. Except that it's still important to ventilate well. Setting up the cooker hood can already help. And so a quiet cooker hood is handy so as not to disturb the party.
When we want to ventilate at home, we always open the window. In combination with a hood, this is a particularly good idea. The extractor sucks away the air present, allowing fresh air to enter through the window more quickly. This way, CO2, aerosols and other substances disappear from your home in a matter of seconds.
It is important, however, that you open the right window. Do not put up the window near your cooker hood, because then there is hardly any air circulation. Always choose a window that is at a sufficient distance from your cooker hood so that the air has room to move. That way fresh air will flow past your table guests back into the hood, and out again.
The air quality may be better when we put on the hood, but the sound of it makes many shudder. Are you looking for a new range hood, or going for a new kitchen? Then consider a quiet range hood. You can run those at full volume, while not disrupting your cozy end-of-year party. Unfortunately, if you don't have a silent cooker hood, all you have to do is turn up the music a little louder.
Are your living room and kitchen separated? Then, of course, it is important to open your door to allow air to circulate. Only then your guests will have a view of your kitchen. Even in an open kitchen, as is the case in most homes today, you would prefer not to have a view of an ugly cooker hood. Fortunately, a lot of built-in cooker hoods exist today, so it looks like they are not there. Or you can always opt for an exhaust cooktop, where the system is built into the cooktop. These strong samples of design today are very performant and quiet and can remove many odors and fumes. Can't get your fume hood hidden away? Then make it an eye-catcher. With a handsome designer cooker hood, you immediately have a fun topic to talk about at the table!
