The Swiss Franke Group, headquartered in Aarburg, is further expanding its presence in Northern Europe and strengthening its expertise in central ventilation with the acquisition of Røros Metall, a top Norwegian manufacturer of RørosHetta fume hoods and ventilation systems. The acquisition includes all of Røros Metall's shares. Further financial details remain confidential.
Røros Metall will become part of Franke Home Solutions, a division of the Franke Group and a global leader in smart systems and residential kitchen solutions. This merger strengthens Franke's position in the Nordic market, especially through the combined expertise of both companies in sustainability and energy-efficient ventilation solutions. Moreover, Franke's global network will also contribute to the further growth of RørosHetta.
Founded in 1946, the family-owned company Røros Metall has a rich history of innovation and quality products. In 1981, the company launched its first fume hood, after which it became a major player in the Nordic countries. The brand also strengthened its expertise by collaborating for more than 20 years with Faber, Franke's leading ventilation brand. In 2024, Røros Metall additionally became the official distributor of Franke sinks and faucets in Norway.
Håvard Augensen, owner and CEO of Røros Metall, will take on a new role as responsible for Franke's operations in the Nordic countries, contributing to the further growth of Franke Home Solutions in that region. His focus is on strengthening expertise in central ventilation and further expanding Franke's regional and European presence.
