Global home appliance manufacturer Electrolux Group - under the top brand AEG - is presenting its most energy-efficient models for the first time at IFA 2023: the AEG EcoLine. AEG EcoLine is a special selection of the company's most energy-efficient appliances, covering all major product categories and presented both in-store and online. The goal is to help consumers reduce their impact on the climate while providing high-quality performance. The sustainable selection of appliances from the current AEG and Electrolux portfolio, as well as the new AEG SaphirMatt induction cooktop with scratch-resistant glass, will be unveiled at IFA 2023 in Berlin from Sept. 1-5, 2023.
AEG's science-based insights and appliance lifecycle assessments show that approximately 85%1 of the global climate impact of household appliances is related to their use. Therefore, all AEG EcoLine models are made for effortless daily use in the most efficient mode and with the best energy scores the brand has to offer.

The new AEG EcoLine range covers all major product categories, meeting the needs of all home appliances.
- In the washing and drying category, AEG shows EcoLine washing machines with an energy rating that exceeds the best A ratings on the market, plus saving features such as AutoDose, which allows the machine to use less detergent, and PowerClean, a program that cleans efficiently at 30°C and saves 30% of energy2.
- AEG EcoLine clothes dryers with heat pump technology save up to 68% more energy than traditional clothes dryers3.
- AEG EcoLine ovens preserve minerals and vitamins while using up to 20% less energy when cooking with steam4, and the steam cleaning function saves up to 95% energy compared to pyro cleaning5.
- The new AEG 7000 cordless vacuum cleaner is made of at least 60% recycled plastic and can save up to 47% of energy and extend usage time when using auto mode6.
Other appliances included in the AEG EcoLine include cooktops, range hoods, dishwashers, freestanding stoves and air purifiers.

The presentation of the AEG EcoLine comes at the right time, as recent data from global market research institute GfK shows that energy efficiency is the most important criterion for consumers when buying household appliances, such as washing machines.
61% of consumers in the five largest European countries said they considered energy efficiency a decisive factor when choosing their next washing machine during the survey period between Q2 2022 and Q1 2023.
"We see a clear trend in all age groups that a more sustainable lifestyle plays an increasingly important role. Besides the environmental aspect, financial savings through better energy efficiency are also a strong factor when choosing an appliance," explained Alexander Dehmel, Head of CSM Germany & Austria at GfK, who will also speak at Electrolux Group's international media conference at IFA 2023 in Berlin on Aug. 31.
IFA 2023 will also see the world premiere of the groundbreaking AEG SaphirMatt induction cooktop with scratch-resistant glass. The unique SaphirMatt ceramic glass can withstand daily use and wear and tear without getting scratched. In fact, it resists four times fewer scratches than a standard ceramic cooktop7 and is twice as fast to clean8. "The elegant matte black finish adds a touch of style to any kitchen and is also 80% less reflective than a standard surface9.
