Number 1 in home appliances sector
The first months of this year were busy at Beko, very busy. The WOW Events at different locations in the Netherlands, the numerous innovations, the preparations for the Küchenmeile, the sustainability story. The fact that Time Magazine proclaims Beko to be one of the most sustainable companies in the world is an extra motivation to continue on this path.
Each year, Time Magazine, in cooperation with Statista, produces a ranking of the world's most sustainable companies. In this study, they assess more than 5,000 international companies on the pillars of environment, social responsibility and transparency. Malu van der Goes of Beko: "The reduction of water and energy consumption, that is a logical theme. But also our climate vision, the concrete steps we are taking to combat climate change and the transparency of our communication about this are evaluated. We rise from place 44 to place 17, and within the household appliances sector we even come out on top. This result comes thanks to the efforts of everyone at Beko."
The WOW Events 2025 brought the Beko team to Amersfoort, Breda and Bakkeveen, a true Tour of the Netherlands. At these three locations, many kitchen professionals met with Beko to discover the updated oven series b100, b300 and b500. "They use the groundbreaking AeroPerfect technology that distributes heat optimally in the oven," explains Van der Goes. "And the Split&Cook, the ability to bake simultaneously at two different temperature levels, was also very well received." The updated ovens will no doubt also play a prominent role at the Küchenmeile, as will the refrigerators with HarvestFresh, a key technology in the sustainability story.

HarvestFresh is Beko's technology that helps prevent food waste. Van der Goes: "Vegetables and fruits quickly lose their healthy substances after harvesting. A HarvestFresh vegetable drawer slows down this process. The drawer projects blue light for dawn, green light for the bright afternoon sun and red light for the sultry evening. The drawer pretends to be a full 24-hour day, and a head of lettuce, for example, feels perfectly at home in it. As a reward, it stays fresh for up to 30 days longer, while retaining healthy vitamins and minerals. Choosing a sustainable appliance thus offers benefits not only for the environment, but also for the consumer himself."
It is an annual tradition: Beko welcomes the kitchen professional to the Gut Böckel estate during the Küchenmeile, this year from September 21 to 25. "Here interested visitors always discover our latest developments and we also like to put established values in the picture," invites Van der Goes. "This year promises once again, without giving too much away, to be a showcase of cutting-edge sustainable technologies and smart kitchen solutions. You are most welcome!"
