The kitchen becomes more open and bright

The Küchenmeile 2025 is at it again. For a week, the kitchen world was all about design, innovation and comfort. Manufacturers and suppliers presented their latest ideas. Hettich was also present. Not as an exhibitor, not with a Hausmesse. Some recent innovations and totally new developments stole the show with numerous kitchen manufacturers.

For one week each year, kitchen professionals swarm in and around Löhne. After all, the Küchenmeile has international appeal. Every year it is a hive of activity at the numerous Hausmesses of the kitchen manufacturers based there and the additional locations and hotspots that have been added in recent years. Fittings specialist Hettich deliberately takes a different approach. The recent and also brand new solutions of the manufacturer from Kirchlengern are eagerly used by numerous of the exhibiting kitchen manufacturers. “For example, Pronorm, eggersmann and Nobilia came up with new setups in which our solutions excel.”

Literally more movement

The FurnSpin turn-and-swivel system set the entire kitchen industry on fire immediately upon its introduction. The creative freedom for both kitchen designers and manufacturers was (and is) music to their ears. At the same time, space utilization also takes on a new dimension. “The opening and closing of a kitchen unit by the swivel movement is a real highlight in the kitchen,” Hettich outlines. “Eggersmann went to work with FurnSpin and created GLOW, a homely tall cabinet, complete with glass side walls and integrated lighting. An exceptional feat of kitchen design. Nobilia is presenting the FurnSpin XL base cabinet in several new programs.”

Design with depth

The message from Hettich, is crystal clear: kitchens should not only look good, they should also make everyday life significantly more enjoyable. Hettich: “We are building an extensive product range to make this a reality. With optimal space solutions, ergonomic drawer systems (with or without lighting) and other hardware innovations, we realize comfort in the kitchen. This has not escaped the notice of kitchen manufacturer Pronorm either. They presented the proTech X drawer system based on our ExeoTech drawer system at Küchenmeile. Minimalist design does not at all mean concessions

Lighter, more open, more homely

An entire interior, including kitchen design, is subject to design trends. Just think about the use of natural materials. “An open interior and visual lightness are the most striking trends today,” Hettich knows. “The feeling of space and brightness is central, and this is reflected in open cabinets and shelves, transparent materials and slim frames. With our solutions, we do more than contribute to evoking the desired atmosphere in the kitchen while at the same time realizing comfort. New to our range, for example, is the heavy-duty cabinet hanger SAH 500. A trendy solution that allows even heavy furniture to float. Visual lightness and technical sophistication brought together in one innovative product.”
