Two design collections that connect ovens, induction cooktops and integrated exhaust systems within one design direction
SMEG presents Isola and Musa: two new, separate design lines, each with its own signature within the modern kitchen. The design lines were developed in collaboration with the Italian design studios Stefano Boeri Interiors and BorromeodeSilva, who each translate their own vision into designs that focus on proportion, light and materials. Together, Isola and Musa show how technology and design reinforce each other within a cohesive vision of the kitchen.
After winning the international Design Intelligence Award in 2025, it makes Isola now its official market launch. With Isola SMEG redefines the role of cooktop and extractor in the modern kitchen. The collection, developed in collaboration with Stefano Boeri Interiors, approaches technology as part of the interior rather than something that should be hidden.
The collection includes induction hobs with integrated extraction, to be combined with a sophisticated light rail, as well as models that go together with suspended hoods.
What Isola what sets it apart is its deliberate visibility. Where traditional designs allow devices to disappear as much as possible, chooses Isola for being just present - subtle, but pronounced.
Rounded shapes create a soft and harmonious look. Light plays a central role in the design: not only functional, but atmospheric. The combination of stainless steel-colored anodized aluminum and black glass creates a balance between timeless clarity and modern depth. Gloss and satin reinforce each other and match the contemporary preference for understated elegance.
Architect Stefano Boeri sees the kitchen as a space with “variable geometry,” which calls for flexibility in design. With Isola SMEG builds on previous collaborations with designers such as Mario Bellini, Renzo Piano and Marc Newson.
The Isola-induction cooktops are available in three versions:
Equipped with adjustable lighting and a metal touch display, the pendant hoods act as design elements in their own right within the interior. The light rails, operable via gestures, allow adjustment of light intensity and heat and can also illuminate the room independently.
With Isola SMEG presents the kitchen as a cohesive system in which form, technology and architecture reinforce each other.
With the new Musa-collection, SMEG adds a sophisticated and contemporary chapter to its design story. In collaboration with the Italian design studio BorromeodeSilva the brand introduces an aesthetic in which clean proportions and soft lines balance each other. The Musacollection consists of a range of quality kitchen appliances, including built-in ovens, induction hobs and integrated exhaust systems, that combine minimalist Italian design with smart functionality for a stylish and user-friendly kitchen experience.
With Musa the brand translates the latest interior design developments into a collection that exudes tranquility, depth and subtlety. Glossy and matte surfaces alternate, creating a subtle play of reflection. The powerful monochrome color scheme, matte black or silver with sophisticated glossy accents, gives the collection a graphic, almost architectural look.
According to Vittorio Bertazzoni, president of SMEG, state Musa for the core of the brand: quality, attention to detail and a constant search for the balance between innovation and style. The collection represents not only a new product line, but also a coherent design vision that can be effortlessly integrated into a variety of interior design concepts.
The Musa-collection offers plenty of freedom for interior designers and consumers who want to approach their kitchen as a total concept.
The ovens are available in 60 and 45 cm widths and range from intuitive basic models to premium versions with steam function, microwave combination and a pizza system with refractory stone. The induction hobs blend seamlessly with the aesthetics of the ovens and combine graphic lines with advanced technologies such as Bridge and Multizone functionality.
During EuroCucina at the Salone del Mobile 2026 in Milan, a wall-mounted hood, wall-mounted drawers and a built-in coffee machine will also be presented. With these, Musa into a complete collection that brings harmony to the kitchen space.
Musa forms a contemporary complement to iconic lines such as Classica, designed by Guido Canali, underscoring SMEG's ability to bring design and technology together in a recognizable, consistent signature.
