What began in a small workshop in Vittorio Veneto, in the heart of Italy's ‘Inox Valley,’ has grown into a specialist in high-quality exhaust systems. “Design plays an important role in our collection,” says Eddy van Tongeren, general manager of Falmec Benelux. “But the real added value is in the invisible technologies that significantly increase comfort in the kitchen.” One example is the patented Silence NRS™ (Noise Reduction System). “Extractor hoods with this technology are significantly quieter, without sacrificing performance,” Van Tongeren explains. “Every reduction of 1 decibel means about 20 percent less noise perception. At 3 decibels, the user even experiences the noise as almost halved. That makes these solutions particularly suitable for open kitchens and living spaces, where sound comfort plays a major role and recirculation solutions are used. Normally this requires more air pressure, thanks to NRS™ the noise load is reduced by up to 86 percent. To achieve optimal air quality, we couple the recirculation system with a Carbon.Zeo Microtech filter. This neutralizes odors, eliminates cooking fumes and captures moisture very effectively. This creates a quiet and efficient solution that perfectly suits today's kitchen.”

In addition, the Virgola series offers a compact and discreet solution. “Thanks to the glass flap with touch controls, the upper cabinet remains closed and you maintain a calm kitchen appearance. More and more people are choosing a recirculating exhaust hood. Not only because of architectural limitations, but also from aesthetic considerations and ease of installation. “Opting for a recirculation model used to be associated with a loss of efficiency or less noise comfort,” Van Tongeren knows. “Falmec has eliminated these disadvantages.
