Black is the new black
The black combination sink and faucet create a nice contrast to the lighter tones of the countertop.

Black is the new black

Can we still speak of a trend when a certain color remains at the top in kitchen applications year after year? A few years ago we saw the entrance of black as an additional color. As a contrast color with a dominant other hue to even kitchens completely in black. Today it is clear: black is here to stay.

Black in the kitchen, it remains a popular choice. An entire kitchen in black or contrasting it with other colors and materials present, that, of course, is up to the customer to decide. As a manufacturer of sinks and kitchen taps, Franke knows better than anyone else how to spot trends and respond to them quickly. Today there is a large range of both products in black which can lead to beautiful combinations. Whether the customer chooses matte black or onyx, with that touch of shimmer for a more luxurious look: at Franke you will find what you are looking for.

Natural look-and-feel

Granite is not only one of the most beautiful materials, it is also one of the hardest. Franke's statement does not lie. The choice of granite, and in particular the in-house developed Fragranit+, brings added value to any kitchen style. "Fragranit+ is particularly elegant and gives the kitchen a natural look," Franke's Roxanne Lalmant explains to us. "In addition to being beautiful, our granite sinks are extremely hard-wearing, non-porous and meet the strictest hygiene standards. Add to that a perfectly functioning kitchen faucet and you have the perfect picture, one that is also very practical."

Black is definitely not boring

It is certainly not the easiest task to create, from the huge range of black sinks and the at least equally large range of kitchen faucets, that ideal match that adds enormous value to the customer's kitchen. Playful, mystical, luxurious, something for everyone. The eternal doubter finds in Franke the logical ally. The manufacturer is happy to provide some popular "perfect matches. Franke also challenges the more daring to work with their own creativity. After all, taste is a subjective thing. "But black is never boring, that's for sure," says Lalmant.

Blessed combining

From the range of sinks and kitchen faucets, Lalmant picks a few examples to arrive at a fun black eye-catcher in the kitchen. "Thinking of our practical sink Fresno, a fun but not everyday choice, tough, chic and glamorous come to mind," states Lalmant. "With that, of course, comes a Franke faucet, and which one fits it better than the stainless steel kitchen faucet Myhos in industrial black. The color coating has been applied via PVD technology and can therefore take a beating. A less austere arrangement? Urban (sink and faucet) brings the authentic character back into the kitchen. And last but not least: the combination of the Cube 2.0 undermount sink with the Pescara 360°, a faucet that must be seen."
