We know them, today's megatrends. Urbanization, New Work (working to live instead of the other way around) and individualization are changing our lives, our homes and therefore how we furnish and use our homes. "Whereas we used to develop hardware to equip furniture with useful functions, today we are creating answers to these trends," echoes hardware specialist Hettich. "Even more, we dare to set trends ourselves!"

Urbanization. New Work. Individualization. Three trends affecting the way we live and live. But feel free to add climate protection and sustainability to the list of megatrends. These green themes also have their impact on everyday life, from living to working and everything in between. Hettich carries these themes very highly. It is for this reason that the manufacturer had its trade fair participation at the last Interzum officially certified as CO2 neutral. The myclimate foundation awards this certificate and takes all aspects of an exhibition participation into account: transport management, stand construction, recycling of materials, regional catering with seasonal products, efficient deployment of staff at the stand (including their travel to and from the exhibition, possible overnight stays) and even the refraining from giving giveaways. The CO2 emissions that did occur were offset by Hettich with the support of an officially recognized climate protection project.

The furniture world is turning

It is a bold statement by Hettich during Interzum: "With FurnSpin, we are undoubtedly presenting the hardware innovation of the year. Old design patterns are going overboard and we are giving creative impulses to furniture design." With FurnSpin, open doors or flaps completely disappear like snow in the sun. An elegant twist reveals the true purpose of FurnSpin. The cabinet creates an exciting alternation between open and closed through its unique "translational rotation movement. This, as it were, turns the furniture completely inside out. An elegant rotation opens the cabinet and gives access from two sides to the objects you store in it (and which do not tilt or slip during the rotation). Let's go outside

Speaking of trends, the outdoor kitchen is not to be missed. Especially since the corona pandemic and lockdowns, our garden has gained in importance. Those who sit outside like to stay outside, and therefore want to prepare snacks and drinks outside. And whoever says outdoor kitchen also says furniture hardware for outdoor kitchens. Hettich: "These products must of course withstand all conditions and provide the same quality as the fittings systems for indoors. With Veosys, Quadro Compact and InnoTech Atira, we have put together an outdoor team to say hello to."

Under all weather conditions

The InnoTech Atira drawer system meets EN1670 corrosion resistance class 2 and is also given a chic design with clean lines by Hettich. The system provides weather-resistant comfort with a wide range of attachments and solutions for drawer organization, and that in various available colors.

With a load capacity of up to 40 kg, the Quadro Compact drawer slides ensure reliable running properties of the drawers in the outdoor kitchen. The Silent System present ensures soft, cushioned closing.

"With Veosys, we created a stainless steel hinge especially for the outdoor kitchen," concludes Hettich. "So the comfort functions you know from inside come out. Stainless steel is resistant to temperature fluctuations, moisture and salt and thus ideal for
this application."
