Help consumers save euros with sustainable boiling water faucet

Also looking for ways to help customers save energy and water? "The solution is in the kitchen cabinet," says Herbert van der Graaff, Trade Marketer at Quooker International. "If you put a Quooker tank there, you can reduce energy and water consumption. The most important by-product? The consumer saves euros!"

Of course, every consumer wants to know how big the savings really are. Quooker has launched a smart savings check on its own website. "We advise everyone to go through that one. Or, when selling a kitchen in a showroom: do it together with the customer. Within a minute you have a clear answer. For sure the consumer gets excited about that." "Anyone who purchases a faucet from this brand is making a sustainable choice," says Herbert. "This is because a Quooker uses very little energy. That's because the reservoir of boiling water is so well insulated that only 10 watts are needed to keep the water above boiling point. By comparison, this is less energy than what the use of an average Internet modem is!"

Less water

"You can also save water with a Quooker. Because you never tap more than the desired amount of boiling water, not a drop is lost," he continued. "That's different with a kettle. You often boil much more water than necessary. Or you forget the water in your kettle, after which you have to bring it to a boil again later. A waste of energy!"

According to Herbert, "maximum savings" is therefore the goal, for example with the Quooker- COMBI reservoir. "With energy label A, it is the most energy-efficient hot and boiling water supply in the kitchen and the perfect replacement for the traditional kitchen boiler. Because the reservoir connects only to the cold water line, the hot water line in the kitchen can be dropped. Because the cold water from the water line is mixed with the boiling water from the COMBI reservoir, hot water is immediately available. Waiting for hot water is thus a thing of the past. The tank also makes an ideal combination with a heat pump system. The entire contents of the heat pump storage tank can be used in the bathroom. If there is a hot water pipe in the kitchen, the COMBI+ tank is the best solution."

But there's more ... Herbert continues: "If you want to get sparkling and chilled water from the Quooker in addition to hot, cold and boiling, equip it with a Quooker CUBE. That, too, is a responsible, sustainable choice. After all, with this you no longer have to buy plastic bottles, which you would then have to chill in the refrigerator. Instead, you use a highly economical chilled water reservoir at the bottom of your kitchen cabinet and reusable carbonated cylinders. Flushing old mineral water down the drain where the prick is out is a thing of the past!"

The pursuit of sustainability is thus - as it turns out - the common thread of Quooker's raison d'être. "It's a matter of 'Practice
What You Preach," Herbert concludes. "For example, our own building in Ridderkerk is covered with 900 solar panels and at our Return & Recovery department we recycle old products. Left or right: a boiling water tap from Quooker is a responsible and sustainable purchase either way."
