That's Fraceram, Franke's ceramic sink that brightens up both classic and modern kitchens with its subtle shapes and expressive colors.
A unique composition of the raw materials feldspar, china clay, loam and quartz is processed at 1200°C. This gives Fraceram ceramics their special hardness. The glaze layer, in the desired color shade, is then applied. This provides a lasting gloss and an even smoothness over the entire surface. An additional property of the glaze layer is that it repels dirt. Dirt and stains such as tea or red wine are easily wiped away with soap. Moreover, the surface remains hygienically flawless and the ceramic does not absorb odors or tastes.

Franke has an extensive portfolio of sink families in different materials. There are also many possibilities in terms of installation methods: recessed, flush-mounted, undermount. Speaking of sinks made of Fraceram ceramics, there is a choice of two built-in models (Ambion and Maris) and one undermount model (Cube). With Ambion, the side faucet workbench immediately catches the eye. In addition, we see a large sink (423 millimeters wide, 451 millimeters long and 207 millimeters wide) with a large draining surface. Additional convenience: the ability to rotate the position of the draining surface and the sink. The valve opens and closes via push-button operation so there is no need to get your hands in dirty water to empty the sink. The Fraceram base model was named Cube and four models of it are available: three versions with one sink (in different sizes) and one version with a large and a small sink side by side. The position of the large and small sink is reversible.
Fraceram is available in six colorfast accent colors: four shiny (white, magnolia, graphite and onyx black) and two matte (pearl gray and anthracite). These colors, and thus the sink units, combine perfectly with any kitchen worktop or kitchen front. Moreover, Franke very carefully controls color consistency during production, thus ensuring an even finish. "Despite the interest of many consumers in some color in the kitchen, white remains the color of choice for our Fraceram ceramic sinks," says the manufacturer. "Pearl gray matte is another color that gets high marks. This matte shade is a nice alternative to the typical shiny appearance of ceramic."

In addition to previously mentioned properties that are important in a kitchen (wear-resistant, resistant to dirt and stains, hygienic), the maintenance of the Fraceram sink is also an additional asset. It is enough to clean the sink daily with a soft damp cloth and an ordinary detergent. No special agents or special cloths. "Do avoid abrasive liquids or powders," Franke offers as a tip. "It's also better to keep unblocker or cleaners for steel or faucet work away from Fraceram ceramics."
