A robust surface - with one coat of oil

Austrian paint and varnish manufacturer gets it done

An oil that ensures wooden surfaces can take a beating, and that with just one coat? That sounds almost too good to be true. However, the new Legno Smart Oil from Austrian paint and lacquer manufacturer ADLER gets the job done.

This innovative two-pack wood oil has particularly high chemical and mechanical resistance and ensures that kitchen furniture, furniture, table tops and interior doors can take a beating. Thanks to anti-slip rating R11, the oil is also suitable for floors and stairs.

Because this high solid oil has a high solids content, the processor only needs to apply one coat. "We recommend brushing the oil directly into the wood with a fine sanding pad. This further increases resistance and surface quality," said Leon Cremers, director of ADLER Benelux in Heeze. The Legno Smart Oil also meets the highest sustainability requirements: it is produced from natural oils and contains no heavy metals.

Many opportunities

In addition to a colorless variant, the oil is also available in several standard color tones. "That offers processors many options," Cremers said. He expects carpenters and furniture makers will be delighted with the Legno Smart Oil. "This is a fine product for anyone who likes the natural look of oiled surfaces, but also wants these surfaces to be able to take a beating. And because you only have to apply one coat, you save a lot of time and money."
