A story of steady growth. That is what Casa Vero has been doing since 1995. First as a one-man business, a year later as a company with an employee. Casa Vero was immediately on the map. From his background in product development and interest in furniture, manager Rob Verboven knew how to translate his customers' wishes into the kitchen of their dreams. Proteus ERP and the CAD/CAM package imos ensure that those dreams are realized in no time.

Proteus and imos contribute significantly to the short lead times Casa Vero guarantees.
"From day one, we made a conscious decision to make and install everything ourselves," Rob Verboven opens. "We still had to have the wood cut to size at first, but as soon as the space was there, physically and financially, we invested in our own machinery. Quality and customer satisfaction are paramount for us. It has to be very good. Point. Only with our own machines and our own personnel do you have enough flexibility to make that happen and to switch quickly when necessary. The shorter lead times are an additional asset to play off." Back in 1997, Casa Vero moved to its current location on Acaciastraat in Geel, where it found all the space it needed to continue growing on a 2,800-square-meter lot. The formula is clearly working: today Casa Vero has sixteen employees.

"A lot of parameters, articles and optimizations for woodworking are standard in Proteus, which gave us a turnkey solution."
Since 2000, Casa Vero has gone the way of CNC technology.
Verboven: "Automation is the direction in which kitchen and interior construction is heading anyway. This is why we invested in an ERP package even before the digitization wave was well underway. A crucial move for us to keep an overview and to know how far each project has progressed. After all, a word is a word to us. But ERP is also crucial to gain insight and take the step toward Industry 4.0, which everyone is now talking about." The choice was obvious. Verboven started working with Proteus in 2012 because of its great affinity for woodworking. "Proteus understands what we are doing as a kitchen and interior design company. You notice that the package is specifically written for our industry. A lot of parameters, articles and optimizations are included by default, which gave us a ready-made solution. Especially in terms of calculation, this really made the difference," Verboven believes. Since 2018, the Trivest Software Group has been responsible for the software in Belgium.

From his background of product development, Casa Vero's manager Rob Verboven knew how to translate his customers' wishes into the kitchen of their dreams.
To also take the step toward digitization on the shop floor, the investment in the CAD/CAM package imos followed three years later. "An ideal way to control our machines because it came through the same distributor. A logical step too, because you immediately had the link to ERP, without the need for translation. By entrusting the whole package to one company, we got a solution that worked well right away. A central database from which everything is controlled." Verboven is convinced of the added value this investment has brought to his company. "Imos is a package with which a lot can be done. If you immerse yourself in it enough, you can go up another level. Sometimes something very simple can be done faster the traditional way, but for complex matters there are almost no limitations. Automation and digitization are a train that cannot be stopped. We jumped on board early to be able to make a difference for our customers."

The introduction of Trivest Software Group's software has therefore had quite an impact. Proteus and imos contribute significantly to the short lead times that Casa Vero guarantees. After all, every order for Casa Vero is customized. "Digitizing is a necessary step. And it doesn't take away any jobs. On the contrary: by automating our administration and managing production, we free up time for new orders. So we can grow more again. You always have to keep looking for the bottlenecks in your operations, because that's where the opportunities for improvement are. That is the great thing about working with Trivest Software Group. Their employees think in terms of solutions. We trust that we are well supported, because you can't grow on your own. For that you need people and partners," concludes Verboven.
