Double celebration at Jetstone during the Küchenmeile. On the one hand, the Dutch worktop specialist celebrated its 30e anniversary, on the other hand it was over the heads in the search for the news. The Haferhaus on the historic Gut Böckel estate was once again the place to be.
Every 30e birthday, whether for a person or a company, deserves to be celebrated. Celebrate elaborately or rather subdued, we leave that up to the people themselves. But so this year marks exactly 30 years since Jetstone was founded. From a farmer's barn, it went step by step to the modern production sites of today, with another 16,000 m² under construction that will be in full operation in the course of 2024. The range grew from a few dozen types of natural stone to now nearly 200 colors in natural stone, composite, ceramic and dekton. And the Küchenmeile 2023 was the ideal platform for further expansion of the collection.
Jetstone traditionally collaborated with Keller Kitchens in the Haferhaus. "We thus together presented a contemporary range of ceramics and composites," echoed a proud John van den Heuvel, director of Jetstone. "In a surprising way, the newcomers were incorporated into the different kitchen styles, from elegant to modern and from rustic to design. We alternated warm materials with subtle light tones. For example, we introduced three composite colors from almost entirely recycled materials and, as a first, we brought the first ceramic colors from Caesarstone. We include no fewer than five colors in our range: Striata, Fume, Emprada, Smokestone and Monumental. The Küchenmeile was therefore the platform of choice to announce this."
A striking arrangement, in the middle of the Haferhaus, though, was the classically modern kitchen with striking use of polished ceramic in the color Labradorite. The sloping side of the kitchen island, no less than 13 cm thick, makes it a real eye-catcher. The beautiful combination with Caesarstone's calm Agger Grey polished composite balances the color scheme. "The Labradorite stands out for its distinct gold-green textures on a blue-green base," says van den Heuvel. "Agger Grey comes from Caesarstone's Pebbles series and is based on subtle and warm earthy grays derived from pebbles. Robustness and finesse come together in this kitchen. Both materials have already been available from Jetstone since this spring."
Van den Heuvel: "You can't ignore it anymore, sustainability and circularity are important themes. We contribute to this by including the Conscience series in our range. That is a series of composite that consists of 95% recycled glass material. In early 2024, we will introduce three colors from this sustainable series, namely Blanco Consciente, Crema Consciente and Greige Consciente."
Since its founding in 1993, Jetstone has steadily grown into a highly reliable, international cooperation partner for granite, composite and ceramic countertops.
