Presenting novelties can be done in different ways. An in-house showroom, a trade fair... Bauformat and citizen opt for a third option. Every year during the Küchenmeile, they transform Haus Beck, a country house with more than 800 years of history, into a true kitchen paradise. This year, the motto was It's a match.
The cards have been laid. The puzzle pieces are ready. They could easily be quotes from the election show. But during our visit to the kitchen manufacturers Bauformat and burger, we heard above all the motto It's a match. "Everything just fits together," says Dirk Kleykens. "Fronts, decors, design elements, accessories..."

Lots of movement in the range of fronts and decors from both Bauformat and Citizen. "It goes beyond adding a few colors and discontinuing others," Kleykens emphasizes. "Better quality, more resistant to scratches or fingerprints, for example, a response to prevailing trends. One notable trend is the use of wood and with Sydney, for example, available in Natural Oak, Smoked Oak and Walnut colors, we now have a trendy solution." But Bauformat also plays with the dimensions of the front. In certain situations, it's a nice idea to deliberately make the front a little longer. That way you create a nice aesthetic element that at the same time provides a handle to open the cabinet.

Kleykens: "The development of new fronts is an important topic at both Bauformat and Citizen but it obviously goes further than that. We also take the necessary steps in their production to do it all even better and more efficiently. For example, a new multifunctional production line has been added at the factory in Löhne (D), an investment of 6 million euros. In addition, we are rushing to the aid of our kitchen dealers with four new mood boards. With our innovations, we are responding to current trends, and this allows very nice combinations between the newcomers themselves as well as with our existing ranges. As new options are added and other options leave our assortment, we decided to create four new mood boards. The themes are Grounded, Harmony, Intensity and Playful. They will undoubtedly provide the kitchen candleholder with much-needed inspiration."
