Every autumn, the German Küchenmeile is the center of international kitchen innovation. Here, brands, designers and suppliers from all over Europe present their latest collections, material developments and concepts to a specialist audience hungry for inspiration and concrete solutions for the customer of tomorrow. In the Architekturwerkstatt in Löhne, Dekker Zevenhuizen shows how the kitchen of 2026 takes shape.
With the trends Industrial Force and Wild Essence, the company establishes two powerful directions in which material choice and finish make the difference. Not only in appearance, but also in user experience and durability. We discuss these two trends in this article.
Industrial Force is all about the perfect balance between robust and refined. Concrete, metal and wood meet in an exciting interplay, with each material playing its own role. A striking example is the TopLaminate® Witty Walnut kitchen worktop, with a warm wood texture that softens the clean lines of black, white and gray.
"Industrial design doesn't have to be cool," says Ben van Elk, Marketing Director at Dekker Zevenhuizen. "With a clever mix of materials, on the contrary, you create a kitchen that can be lived in. It's all about character." Stainless steel elements such as taps and sinks emphasize the industrial base, while wood tones provide warmth and accessibility. The result is a timeless style that convinces both aesthetically and functionally.
Where Industrial Force shows strength and structure, Wild Essence brings warmth and layering. This trend oozes hotel chic: rich hues, natural textures and subtle gloss accents. The Evora Qstone Sakura kitchen worktop is the heart of the design, with its reddish-brown marble look and integrated sink that blends seamlessly into the worktop.
"Wild Essence is an ode to materials," Van Elk said. "The combination of wood, natural stone and warm metals makes the design both luxurious and inviting." Wood textures and natural stone give the kitchen a bold elegance, while browns and copper tones enhance the ambiance. It's a style that tells a story and invites residents to cook, eat and live together.
At the Küchenmeile, Dekker Zevenhuizen also presents new color variants with the popular Taj Mahal look, such as DecorTop Royal Ivory and TopLaminate Divine. These are not only aesthetically versatile, but also practical to maintain and produced with sustainable carriers such as Greengridz®.
