Family-owned DELABIE, European leader in sanitary accessories for public buildings, is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
DELABIE's industrial story begins in 1928 when Georges DELABIE takes over a foundry founded in 1863 in Friville, located on the Somme River in France. Four generations of entrepreneurs and employees will succeed each other and ensure the growth of the family business. DELABIE soon decides to leave the domestic market behind and position itself as a specialist for public buildings. In less than a century, DELABIE grows into an undeniable global player and European leader in faucets and sanitary accessories for public buildings.
Today, the group exports to more than 90 countries, from its factory in Friville, and to its 8 subsidiaries around the world: Benelux, Germany, Great Britain, Poland, Spain, Portugal, United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and China (Hong Kong). In this way, DELABIE's sanitary solutions are installed all over the world, where quality is paramount.
Five product ranges
With its five product ranges - faucets for utilities, hospitals and rest homes, accessibility and hygiene accessories, sanitary appliances in stainless steel, specific faucets for professional kitchens, safety faucets and renovation - DELABIE operates in a demanding market, where the potential for growth is considerable. So new products are constantly being developed and new know-how built up. Whether it is the casting process or the fine-tuning of the thermostatic interior, microbiology or electronics, DELABIE masters more than 30 different tasks. For example, the company produces its own electrovalves for its range of electronic faucets.
Faucets for professional kitchens
DELABIE faucets for Professional kitchens are known for their sturdiness and durability and are perfectly suited for central kitchens, restaurants , the fish trade or the food industry. To facilitate the work, DELABIE proposes a range of faucets that allows a quick filling of cooking pots and sinks. The full flow rate is achieved in 1/4 turn and depending on the faucet chosen, the flow rate can be between 45 and 100 l/min at 3 bar.
DELABIE's commercial kitchen faucets also feature a modified design to withstand intensive use during rush moments. The shock-resistant and ergonomic handles withstand any bumps from cooking pots, and ensure easy operation. The spouts are also robust and also rotatable, making filling and moving large pots easier. The mechanism in the faucet is perfect for high temperatures up to 90°C.
Optimal kitchen hygiene
To ensure optimal hygiene in the kitchen, DELABIE offers a wide range of faucets without manual operation. There is a choice of electronic taps with presence detection, or taps with non-manual operation (with knee or foot controls). The new hand washbasins, 100% DELABIE and made of bacteriostatic stainless steel 304, also perfectly meet hygiene standards in restaurants and commercial kitchens. The mechanical SXS hand wash basins, with or without splash wall, are equipped with a pre-mixer and have smooth operation. The electronic SXS hand wash basins, with or without splash wall, activate automatically upon detection of hands.
