Purchasing Group opens two new branches with a clear vision

Own entrepreneurship is paramount

In recent months, two new KüchenTreff kitchen showrooms have opened: one in Purmerend and the other in Assen. The entrepreneurs behind these branches, Marcel Vrugt and Stefano Kopjes in Purmerend and John Leicht and Hendrik de Vegt in Assen, share not only a passion for kitchens, but also a shared ambition to make high-quality kitchens accessible to every customer.

Our Keukenbouw platform will be interviewing several KüchenTreff entrepreneurs in the coming months. In it, we will discuss with them why they choose this organization and where, among other things, the USPs of KüchenTreff Benelux lie for them.

KüchenTreff Benelux is a growing organization that brings together independent kitchen entrepreneurs under one strong
purchasing group. Originally created in Germany, KüchenTreff has now firmly established itself in the Netherlands as well. The member entrepreneurs combine German quality and craftsmanship with a personal approach and customized kitchens. Because they operate locally, they can advise and assist customers directly in putting together
their dream kitchen.

What makes KüchenTreff unique is the cooperation between independent entrepreneurs who benefit from joint purchasing advantages and marketing support while maintaining their own identity. This ensures that customers benefit from competitive prices without compromising on service and personal attention. The latest additions to this network are KüchenTreff Purmerend and KüchenTreff Assen. 

Newest branches Assen and Purmerend

KüchenTreff Purmerend opened its doors in November 2024 and has since welcomed customers to their modern showroom at 65 Ampèrestraat. With a focus on affordable, custom-made kitchens, this establishment offers a range of styles, including industrial-, country- and timeless kitchens. Customers can come here for inspiration and expert advice to make their dream kitchen a reality.

In February 2025, KüchenTreff Assen opened, strengthening the brand's presence in the north of the Netherlands. Although there is no specific data yet on this branch, it is clear that here, too, KüchenTreff's core values are central: high-quality German kitchens, personalized service and customized solutions that meet the customer's needs.

"We chose this formula because we have a good click with KüchenTreff Benelux. Their vision has a lot in common with ours. In addition, we feel most entrepreneurial with KüchenTreff," says John, entrepreneur of the new branch in Assen. Their branch is located right in the center of Assen. John: "In the Netherlands we are the first Citystore of KüchenTreff. We have a great location and with eight kitchens a full-fledged showroom." Both John and Hendrik have a lot of experience in the kitchen industry and visitors will notice this when they are helped by the entrepreneurs. "We want to give the customer good advice and in this showroom that is possible."

Everything under one roof

Marcel and Stefano of the Purmerend branch have similar motivations for their choice. Stefano has a construction company specializing in renovation and has many jobs in finishing bathrooms and kitchens. Marcel: "I have a background in the sustainability industry. Our showroom is unique because our customers can come to us for kitchens, bathrooms and the total finish by our own craftsmen, including flooring and preservation. This allows us to offer a total concept, everything under one roof. We focus on providing quality German kitchens, unique bathrooms with the finest collections and most A-brands. Whether for new construction or renovation projects, we like to think along with our customers." Marcel adds, "People can also come to us for sustainability questions. We don't just give advice on the kitchens themselves, but include as much as is desired. Some of our customers we look for in new construction projects, but also larger renovations within homes." They, too, point to the entrepreneurial freedom within KüchenTreff. "Via-via we came into contact with KüchenTreff and after a few good conversations it turned out to be the best cooperation for us. Doing business the way we want and that makes it the perfect choice for us."

Locations quickly prepared

The locations of both Assen and Purmerend were carefully chosen to provide optimal accessibility for customers. "In Assen, we are right in the center. It's a very strategic spot," says Hendrik. "Most retailers are outside the city center, but the KüchenTreff location in Assen you walk right into from the city center."

The Purmerend branch managed to get its location quickly, and despite the fact that an old car dealership was located there, the renovation went smoothly. "Küchentreff Benelux helped us find this location," Marcel reveals. "We were able to get started quickly, but of course that also brought with it the necessary stress and perhaps we have grown a few years older in those few months. Still, we are happy that it worked out so quickly and are proud of the result. Again, KüchenTreff was a great help." 

They also experienced this in Assen: "The delivery of the showroom went really fast. We are happy that KüchenTreff got this right." Marcel is looking forward to the future with his branch: "We are open now and we have showroom visitors. We are looking positively to the future." From Assen, John is also pleased with the start. "We are getting good feedback. The opening was well attended and when we inquired beforehand, we saw a fellow KüchenTreff in Groningen with good reviews. This may also help us even more when people in the Assen area go on the Internet to gather information."

Future Vision

For the future, both the entrepreneurs in Purmerend and Assen look forward to making strides with their KüchenTreff outlets. Hendrik: "We aim for the right advice and corresponding net prices."

Marcel hopes that people in the Purmerend area will become acquainted with their industry expertise: "Customers are sometimes looking for more than just kitchens. Then we are an excellent partner with our total package, using our assembly knowledge in our advice. Because of this, we know very well what can and cannot be done. This simply prevents misunderstandings."
