Hood technology gets wider playing field

The invisible threat of the coronavirus made us all already realize the importance of air cleaning and ventilation. Fume hood technology can also contribute to healthy indoor air.

In the kitchen, the recirculating fume hood is gradually becoming a fixture. The solution allows you to bypass practical limitations and reduce energy losses. But the technology has much more to offer. Based on its well-known recirculation filter, Dutch company PlasmaMade has developed a mobile air cleaner for rooms up to 150 square meters.

Proven technology

The move from a high-quality recirculation filter to a full-fledged air cleaning system is not entirely unexpected. The patented PlasmaMade recirculation technology is not only effective against cooking odors, but also eliminates aerosols, pollen, bacteria, viruses, mold and fine dust from the extracted air.

Thanks to its wheeled chassis, the Air Cleaner is quickly deployed wherever it is needed.

To enable clean air anytime, anywhere, the new PlasmaMade Air Cleaner applies that same technology in a mobile unit. The unit creates an upward airflow that, combined with the filter's four-way operation - software-controlled plasma technology, electrostatic outdoor cores, fiberglass core and carbon filter - can quickly and efficiently reduce aerosol pressure in large spaces.

Contaminants are eliminated and deactivated and clean air is blown back into the room via the Venturi.

Wide application field

The air cleaner is suitable for areas from 20 to 150 square meters, including hospitality, schools, offices, healthcare facilities, and so on. For larger areas, multiple units can be distributed throughout the room, and the wheeled base allows the Air Cleaner to be quickly deployed wherever it is needed.

By efficiently removing aerosols from the air, the air purifier relieves pressure on the ventilation system and can thus reduce energy losses without sacrificing indoor air quality.
