Comments new wall cover were very positive
It is traditionally busy at berbel during the Küchenmeile A30 in Löhne. This year, too, many visitors managed to find the booth, attracted by the combination of sleek design and smart technology the brand is known for. Between hoods, cooktops and demonstrations, Richard de Rouw, sales manager at berbel, took the time for a tour.
“We notice that visitors increasingly value functionality, but without compromising on appearance,” says De Rouw as he shows off a new Downline cooktop. The latest generation of Downline models demonstrates exactly that interplay between design and technology. The cooktop extractor is seamlessly integrated, with a subtle matte surface that prevents reflections and looks neat even after much use. “Especially in an open kitchen where everything is visible, we want to offer quality that you can feel and see,” De Rouw emphasizes.
berbel showed the entire Downline family at AREA30: from the powerful and comprehensive Infinity Pro to the compact variant for smaller kitchens. De Rouw: “We want every user to experience the benefits of our extraction principle. Regardless of space or type of cooking behavior.”

At the booth, berbel additionally presented the new wall-mounted hood Curveline as a design study. The design is characterized by a rounded form language with flowing transitions and is in keeping with the Soft Shapes trend. The response to this new wall-mounted hood was very positive, which led berbel to decide to market it. The market launch, subject to change, is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
A notable new feature was the BGP MAX grill plate, which is available in smooth or ribbed versions. The plate is made of recycled aluminum and features the durable LOTAN® coating, which simplifies cleaning and guarantees long-lasting performance. “We don't see accessories as extras,” explains De Rouw, “but as full-fledged parts of the cooking experience. It has to be right from start to finish. From extraction to preparation.”

In addition to the Downline models, other familiar series were on display, such as the Firstline Touch recessed hood, the Skyline Edge Play and Skyline Frame island hoods, and the Ergoline 2, Smartline and Formline wall hoods. All with that typical berbel signature: understated design, thoughtful details and quiet, powerful practical operation.
In addition to product news, berbel was also about knowledge sharing and experience. During the berbel Academy, visitors were able to learn more about the technology behind extraction, air cleaning and the unique berbel principle in compact sessions. Because this is precisely where berbel's added value lies and cannot be told often enough; instead of traditional grease filters, berbel uses centrifugal force to effectively separate grease from the air.
berbel's booth is always one you stop at as a visitor to AREA30. Always busy, always interested visitors and always something to see or learn. Exactly what a trade show visit is for. “It's important that people not only see our products, but also understand why they work differently,” says De Rouw. “That makes the conversation with our partners and customers during these days extra valuable.”
