What are the most common challenges and questions that recur on a regular basis among trade professionals at kitchen specialty stores in the Netherlands? Every showroom salesperson will be able to agree: they actually want to put in new showroom models (of course, in order to continue to surprise consumers), but yes ... what do you do with the old showroom models? Throw them away? Disassemble them? Store them somewhere? Or are there still sales options? Plenty of options. But yes, what is the best solution? "Exactly to that question we have the only right answer!" say Leon van Wijk and Maurits van Heusden of Onlinekeukenveiling.nl.

From the new location in Den Bosch, which has now been in operation for more than a year (working on 1500m²), he explains that the basis of Onlinekeukenveiling.nl's service is actually very simple. Maurits: "We are the platform for the kitchen specialists in the country that supports the sale of showroom kitchens. We guarantee them a good price for the old showroom models. In the unlikely event that we do not succeed in selling the showroom model we take in to a private individual or consumer, it will eventually end up at our partner Troostwijk Auctions. There then follows a viewing day and ... the auction closes."

"So we make sure the stores don't have 'gaps' in their showrooms," he continues. "In addition to showroom kitchens, we also support an equipment change, for both the kitchen store and the supplier. So we contribute to the continuity of the kitchen showrooms of the Netherlands. We take quite a bit of worry, hassle and organization out of their hands. After all, as soon as the old model is picked up by us, the new one can be placed in the showroom immediately."
The warehouse in Den Bosch holds an average of 100 (former) showroom models and used kitchens that are then sold to individuals.
Our company's growth is well underway, says Leon. "Especially when we moved to a much larger location over a year ago. We are finding that we are getting busier and busier, and we are also finding that our brand awareness has increased considerably, both among kitchen specialty stores and among private individuals. We have a well-functioning website where we show consumers our product range.

People know that you can buy a showroom or used kitchen from us for a good price. The sale almost always succeeds. The latter is of course also in the interest of the kitchen dealer, who then sees the euros back for his showroom kitchen."
Maurits and Leon explain that they are naturally keen to talk to the kitchen specialty stores in the Netherlands and Belgium that have not yet partnered with Onlinekeukenveiling.nl. "It's nice to get acquainted anyway, but every interlocutor will also quickly discover that our way of working is actually very simple. With our business model, we are simply a great solution for all old kitchen showroom items. How simple life can be sometimes!"
