No shortage of table space

The concept of a pull-out table is as simple as it is brilliant. Instead of permanently occupying a certain area in your kitchen or living room with a (too large) table, you keep that space open for all sorts of uses. You hide the table in a drawer, so to speak. This can be a traditional kitchen drawer or an "ordinary" cabinet on which you put ornaments and in which you hide the table. When you need the table, simply conjure it out of the drawer. Ready? Fold it up and store it back in the drawer.

Easy in and out

At Van Opstal, importer of furniture fittings and accessories for the kitchen, furniture and interior design industries, two solutions are now available. They are the Shelf 40 and the Family pull-out table. "Shelf 40 is the smaller brother of the two, although small is relative," we hear from Van Opstal. "The length, that is, the part that appears from the drawer, at 1.34 meters, offers more than enough room for two people. For the width of the table, thus immediately also the width of the drawer, there is a choice of 600, 900 and 1200 millimeters. The load capacity of 80 kilograms is sufficient to eat, work, do homework and more at this pull-out table." A simple system helps users move the table in and out of the drawer while a patented mechanism allows the table leg to be adjusted such that the table top does not lean over."

Space for the whole family

The meal is an important moment of the day in every family. It is one of the few moments where everyone comes together and thus where the day can be discussed. With insufficient space, this cozy gathering quickly turns into an uncomfortable moment. The Family pull-out table provides sufficient space on a stable table.

The Italian manufacturer developed and patented a system in which the table leg slides inverted along with the drawer and therefore takes up no extra space. In addition, the table leg is easily adjustable in height so that it provides sufficient stability. Partly because of this, the carrying capacity of the Family pull-out table is also 80 kilograms. The length of the table is 1.45 meters and the widths are identical to those of the Shelf 40. "Sufficient space to provide a family of four with a cozy meal," Van Opstal emphasizes.

Installation ease

When developing the pull-out tables, both ease of use and ease of installation were considered. The pull-out tables are therefore easy to assemble. Moreover, the manufacturer made a clever and clear assembly video that can be viewed on Van Opstal's website.
