Novelties in a virtual environment

After a year full of uncertainties, we can fortunately count on some things never changing. Like the focus on innovation and development of new products and services by Van Hoecke from Sint-Niklaas (B). They are presenting these novelties in a brand new virtual environment that visitors can discover at their own pace.

Van Hoecke created a brand new, virtual environment in which their customers can walk around to discover the novelties of spring 2021. And they had good reason to do so. CEO Peter Van Hoecke: "Over the past year, we missed the physical contact moments with our customers. Fairs were cancelled and going by or making an appointment was not always possible. That's why we went looking for an innovative way to still keep in touch."

Virtual environment

The Belgian family company's four brands are the guiding principles of this virtual environment. Blum and Orgalux as well as Van Hoecke and TA'OR BOX will have their own space. "Using videos, our people will introduce the various projects and product innovations to visitors," says Peter. "There is also the possibility to download additional information or make an appointment with one of our employees. The advantage of this environment is that we are not tied to an exhibition moment. In addition, it is the ideal way to share novelties with our customers on a regular basis."

Personalize

At Austrian company Blum, they have two novelties in store this year. The MINIPRESS top is a brand new drill that combines Blum's strengths with the latest technology. In addition, the LEGRABOX design options give even more possibilities to personalize the well-known drawer system and completely match an interior.

The TA'OR BOX wooden box system takes drawer individualization to the next level with TA'OR BOX ∞, a fully paintable drawer. The version with a special lacquer carrier film allows customers to lacquer the drawer themselves in the color that best suits their interior. The film guarantees a smooth lacquering process and an even final result.

Digital innovation

All these novelties can be discovered in the virtual environment. In addition, Van Hoecke is also reinforcing its own digitalization with some new features in the webshop. Blum's Online Corpus Configurator (OCC) already made it possible to accurately draw out furniture, including all the necessary fittings products. Ordering these products in the webshop is now child's play. At the touch of a button, everything, even the custom-made drawers, is put to order from the OCC. "As a customer, you only have to enter all the dimensions once. Orgalux is also betting on this digital innovation with a handy plug-in in the webshop. When you order a drawer, you enter all dimensions and specifications. On this basis, the software itself makes a proposal of which layouts would fit perfectly in that drawer," concludes Peter Van Hoecke.
