New collection of sheet material and inspiring trends in Waalwijk

How color, texture and innovation are coming together in tomorrow's interiors

On one of the first summer days in June, customers, partners and colleagues were welcomed by Maiburg in the Schoenenkwartier in Waalwijk. This is where the inspiring Kaindl by Maiburg Event took place. The afternoon focused on the latest Kaindl BOARDS collection for 2025. In addition, trend forecaster Jan Agelink gave a fascinating presentation on the direction in which interiors and materials will develop in the coming years.

Gerald Stüger of Kaindl, specially brought over from Austria, kicked off the event. In his presentation, he emphasized not only the technical innovations of the collection, but also the character of the company. Like Maiburg, Kaindl is an old family business, where continuity, product quality and customer orientation are of paramount importance. Profits are not distributed, but reinvested in technology and production capacity.

Texture and color trends in BOARDS collection

One of the spearheads is the high-quality embossing technology, which gives surfaces a strikingly natural synchronous structure-visible and tangible. Thanks to its own logistics and production capacity in Austria, Kaindl can also guarantee fast delivery times. Maiburg is the exclusive distributor of the complete Kaindl range for the Netherlands.

In the 2025 collection, the Aviva decors in particular stand out. These realistic wood designs have deep textures, sophisticated lines and a natural sheen. The style is shifting toward elegant and refined, less rustic than in previous years. Oak remains important, but other woods are gaining ground - especially in dark, warm tones.

Five new colors are available in an anti-fingerprint finish, making them highly suitable for intensive use in kitchens, interiors and hospitality. Also new to the collection are slimline worktops: sleek, modern tops that blend well with contemporary kitchen designs.

The color Mocha Mousse, named Color of the Year 2025 by Pantone, is at the heart of a new palette of soft, natural shades.

Interior as expression

After the product presentation, Jan Agelink took the audience on a broader view of trends. In his story, it became clear that interior design is more than ever about identity, emotion and contrast. We live smaller, more flexible and personal-and this is reflected in form, color and choice of materials.

Dark colors such as indigo, ochre and moss green are returning. Pastel shades remain relevant, especially in combination with natural textures or just raw materials such as concrete, OSB or recycled stone. Interiors may again be narrative and imperfect - think color gradients, rounded shapes, vintage influences and unexpected combinations with baroque or sci-fi elements.

Sustainability goes beyond recycling: materials with character, reused fabrics such as denim and visible blemishes
gain in value.

Layering for practice

The new Kaindl collection fits in seamlessly with these developments. Colors such as Avocado Green, Caribbean Blue and Graphite Blue combine strong expression with natural tranquility. Textures such as Concrete Art and Castilla Oak Toledo offer visual and tactile depth.

For the kitchen builder and interior designer, this means: more choice, more expressiveness and reliable delivery times. Thanks to the wide range, smart finishes and close cooperation between Kaindl and Maiburg, the collection is well suited to a variety of projects-from custom interiors to serial kitchens.
