Ten years of innovation with new E-filters at area30

PlasmaMade presented at Küchenmeile two brand new E-filters designed to make the air in the kitchen cleaner and healthier. This launch coincides with the 10th anniversary of the company, which in recent years has developed into a leading player in the kitchen ventilation market.

PlasmaMade's new E-filters are designed with the latest technologies. They have a more compact design and can be installed quickly. In addition, they feature globally recognized certifications. With integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, service technicians can easily control the filters via an app available for both iOS and Android. "We listened to our customers and integrated technology that combines usability and efficiency. Monitoring air quality in the kitchen has never been easier," adds Wim proudly.

Air purification technology

Since its inception, PlasmaMade has distinguished itself through its smart and patented technology. The company introduced the first PlasmaMade E-filter more than a decade ago, designed specifically for use in range hoods and downdraft systems. The filters' new design has been further improved in those subsequent years. Thanks to techniques such as electrostatic discharge (ESD) and plasma, the filters not only purify cooking odors, but also fine dust, allergens and microorganisms, among other things. "Our filters do not become saturated like traditional filters, which means they continue to perform consistently over their entire 10- to 15-year lifespan. This makes them not only more efficient, but also more durable," Wim explains.

Long lifespan

The new PlasmaMade E-filter does not saturate and operates consistently throughout its life. In addition, the filter is 97+ percent recyclable, a distinguishing feature compared to conventional filters that are often barely biodegradable. "With this longevity and recyclability, we combine sustainability with top performance. And this fits perfectly in the times we live in," Wim adds.

Compared to traditional filters, which require frequent replacement, PlasmaMade E-filters offer a much longer service life. This makes them more cost-effective in the long run and reduces the carbon footprint through less frequent replacement material. "Our filters are designed for the future, with sustainability as a core value," Wim emphasizes. With a capacity of 1000 m³/h and a user-friendly click system, these filters are easy to install. Two models have been added to the range: the GUC1323 and the GUC1223. The GUC1223 model has a compact length of 282 mm, a connection length of 257 mm and an outside diameter of only 165 mm. The GUC1323 does just as well with its connection length of 280 mm and only 90 mm height and a 220×90 connection.

More than just scents

Another important distinction of the PlasmaMade E-filters is their ability to effectively filter various types of air pollutants. While conventional systems often only remove cooking odors or use carbon filters, the PlasmaMade E-filter offers a solution that goes beyond odor removal alone. The filter neutralizes odors, eliminates microorganisms such as bacteria and mold, reduces allergens and removes particulate matter. "Especially for people with respiratory problems, our filters are an essential tool in creating a healthy living environment," says Wim.
