Smart technology

Behind the front of the Smartline headless hood is a lot of innovative technology from berbel. For example, the Smartline uses centrifugal force, think salad spinner, to separate grease rather than traditional grease filters. This innovative berbel principle makes a berbel hood whisper quiet, durable and particularly easy to clean. This is because the grease ends up in a stainless steel collection tray, which can be wiped clean with a cloth. The integrated EC motor operates quietly yet powerfully and the unique berbel BackFlow technology ensures a condensation-free surface with a weak air flow, from behind the hood. Two LED light strips on the outside provide non-glare working light and the slim, intuitive control panel is unobtrusively integrated into the product design.

Air Recirculation

After separating grease from cooking vapors, it's the turn of cooking odors. The Smartline headless hood is optionally available with an activated carbon filter or with a maintenance-free permalyt^® Air recirculation filter for neutralizing cooking odors. The permalyt^® filter is the first recirculation filter system that regenerates, or returns itself to its original state after each cooking session. The filter mats consist of a special activated carbon that is unique in kitchen technology. This binds up to 95% of the odor molecules created during cooking. They are neutralized using a catalyst. A process also used in vehicle technology. With the installation of this innovative recirculation filter in the berbel Smartline, the user is ready in one go and assured of years of maintenance-free cooking pleasure.
