The Planetarium wash system consists of a circular support and a dual, simultaneous, high-speed moving spray arm. The spray arm has a speed of 65 rotations per minute. Because of the double arm, the water reaches every point of the chamber in the dishwasher. In other words, optimal water coverage. In other words: the (dish) washing results are therefore more than excellent. The dishes are really clean!
SMEG's patented wash system can be seen as a more than worthy successor to the Orbital wash system introduced 25 years ago. Indeed, the new system is -so says SMEG itself- 60% more efficient with (dish) washing compared to its predecessor. So with "Planetarium," SMEG is actually setting a new standard. It is the result of the sharp interpretation of a continuous evolution in terms of aesthetics (the eye wants something too!), functionality (clean dishes desired!) and energy efficiency (sustainability ambitions!). And not unimportantly: lower water consumption.
The upper basket in Planetarium dishwashers can often be placed at three different heights. This makes it possible to achieve truly optimal hygiene for all types of dishes. The internal structure of the dishwasher is also designed to ensure maximum loading flexibility. Think of folding inserts and other movable elements. Many models also feature a program with 99.9% hygiene certification, allowing the user to sterilize and perfectly disinfect dishes at 75 degrees. Even for children or people with allergies. Furthermore, the equipment's self-cleaning program is designed so that the washing performance does not deteriorate over time. Therefore, a self-cleaning cycle of the dishwasher is performed regularly. Thus, performance remains at a high level. As it should be.
The hydraulic system, the shape of the bottom of the chamber and the use of increasingly powerful motors also ensure that the noise of the wash cycle is reduced by up to -2 dB when this program is selected. So you are not bothered by it and that, of course, is a good selling point in the time when the open kitchen also seems to have become the standard.
Some models also feature a Flexi duo cutlery drawer where the two movable inserts, which form the drawer, slide into the dishwasher on separate guides. These can be adjusted individually based on the type of dishes, ensuring maximum loading flexibility. Consider, for example, extra-large wine glasses.
