Wood gives our interiors a warm and authentic look. Moreover, the material is very durable. "To maintain its appearance and quality as long as possible, good wood protection and periodic maintenance are essential," knows Sjoerd Bos, Sales Manager at Rubio Monocoat Netherlands. Rubio responds to this with products such as Durogrit and Oil Plus 2C, which has recently become available in twenty new colors.
The revolutionary Oil Plus 2C colors and protects the wood in just one coat. This avoids overlaps and deposits and gives you superior, durable wood protection, at very low consumption, Bos says. "Moreover, you retain the natural look and feel and grain structure of the wood." Until recently, Oil Plus 2C was available in forty base colors and twelve accent colors, but in early February this range was expanded to include an additional twenty new colors. "With this we are responding to the wishes of architects and end users who - in addition to oak - also want to finish and protect other types of wood."
The VOC-free oil can be easily applied to all indoor wood surfaces, Bos says. From furniture to floors, stairs and even kitchens. "Oil Plus 2C is excellent for kitchen countertops, table tops, cutting boards and other surfaces that come into contact with food and is Food Contact Compliant in accordance with EC No. 1935/2004."
For those who want to give their mobile or fixed outdoor kitchen a beautiful and durable wood treatment in addition to their indoor kitchen, Rubio developed DuroGrit, which is distinguished by a natural look and extreme UV resistance in just one coat. "DuroGrit really brings outdoor wood to life, thanks to three important factors," says Bos. "First, we use natural color pigments, where the structure of oil in water gives visible depth to the colors. In addition, our patented FibreGrit Technology ensures that the colors are both transparent and have high-quality UV resistance. As a nice bonus, the texture of the product ensures that it does not drip when applied."
