How do you match the daily rat race with the need and desire to put a healthy and balanced meal on the table? Preferably as simply and as quickly as possible? At berbel, it happens with the new Clever Cook features integrated into the Downline Infinity Pro and the Downline Advance.
Berbel recently gave its well-known Downline range of hobs with integrated extractor a fresh, modern design as well as a technical upgrade. Now berbel is proud to announce the birth of a new member of the family, the Downline Advance. It is with this newcomer, as well as with the Downline Infinity Pro, that berbel integrates the Clever Cook functions. Julia Mackenbach of berbel: Clever Cook automates and optimizes the most commonly used cooking processes. The names of the functions immediately reveal what they are about, namely steam, pasta, bake, boil water and hold temperature. Precise temperature control ensures that everything is done safely."
Bringing water to a boil. With a kettle, from a boiling water tap or with a pan on the stove? One of the Clever
Cook functions of berbel is to bring water to a boil. Automatically. Without bells and whistles. A pan of water on the cooking zone, activate the function and the cooktop does the rest. An audible signal indicates when the water is boiling. At the same time, the cooking zone also switches itself off to save energy. With the pasta function, the hob fully automatically and quickly heats the water to the ideal temperature for cooking pasta after which a signal indicates that it is time to put the pasta in the water. The temperature is then kept stable while the time is accurately monitored. The result is perfect "al dente" pasta.
Cooking with steam has experienced an explosion in popularity in recent years. This is precisely why berbel comes up with a clever program that allows users to set the amount of steam after which the cooktop then closely monitors this chosen amount and keeps it constant. After all the water has evaporated, the cooking zone automatically turns off which in turn saves energy. "The steam function thus also prevents cookware from overheating," Julia explains.
The baking function that berbel adds to the Downline Infinity Pro and the Downline Advance heats the pans to the optimal temperature and then keeps that temperature constant. This allows for controlled baking and prevents what is in the pans from burning. Several modes are available - from gooey to intensive baking - and these can be selected depending on the dish. "Last but not least is the cooktop's cruise control, the 'temperature hold' function," Julia emphasizes. "The cooking zone keeps the set temperature constant throughout the entire cooking process, whether it's frying pancakes or slow-cooking meat. This clever feature guarantees perfect results without having to constantly stand by the pots and pans." The Downline Advance will be available starting in April, the updated Downline Infinity Pro in May. "With this, we offer kitchen professionals the opportunity to include these innovative models in their range in a timely manner and surprise customers with the latest technologies and design trends," Julia concludes.
